Siso Shift Register Output. Hence it works as siso register. The block diagram of 3 bit siso shift register is shown in the following figure.
Figure 1 shows a n bit synchronous siso shift register sensitive to positive edge of the clock pulse. In the next clock cycle it will be taken as input by the d2 flip flop and will be available at q2 output and so on. This block diagram consists of three d flip flops which are cascaded.

A serial in serial out shift register may be one to 64 bits in length longer if registers or packages are cascaded. The output is also obtained on a single output line in a same serial fashion. Since there is only one output the data leaves the shift register one bit at a time in a serial pattern thus the name serial in serial out shift register. Serial in serial out shift register siso serial in serial out shift registers delay data by one clock time for each stage.
