Transition Diagram. A transition is drawn as an arc with the arrow from the receiving state to the target state. A state is an observable mode of behaviour of the system.
States are connected by arrows called as edges. A transition diagram or state transition diagram is a directed graph which can be constructed as follows. A markov chain is usually shown by a state transition diagram.
Figure 11 7 shows the state transition diagram for the above markov chain.
There is a node for each state in q which is represented by the circle. In transition diagram the boxes of flowchart are drawn as circle and called as states.
