Simple Traffic Light Circuit Diagram Using 555 Timer. Although street lights have a shift time for 2minutes here we are reducing the time for testing the circuit. The circuit has an on state time of 0 94 seconds and off time of 0 47 seconds. This circuit flashes red leds for three times and blue leds for three times and this flashing action repeats continuously. This illuminates the green led and then the second 555 changes state to turn off the green led and turn on the orange led for a short period of time before the first 555 changes state to turn off the second 555.
The circuit is utilizing three shading leds which are red yellow and green same hues as you have found in the street signal traffic lights.
Here the simple traffic light controller which is could be used to educate kids rudiments of traffic light guidelines.
