Half Bridge Rectifier. As you know a diode is to electric current like a one way valve is to water it allows electric current to flow in only one direction. Mathematically it is a step function for positive pass negative block.
In other words the bridge rectifier has fewer ripples as compared to the half wave rectifier. The rectifier circuit is used to convert the ac alternating current into dc direct current. A simple half wave rectifier is nothing more than a single pn junction diode connected in series to the load resistor.
However the ripple factor of the bridge rectifier is same as the center tapped full wave rectifier.
A bridge rectifier is a type of full wave varying dc circuit where four diodes are connected. The rectifier circuit is used to convert the ac alternating current into dc direct current. Passing positive corresponds to the ramp function being the identity on positive inputs blocking negative corresponds to being zero on negative inputs. Half wave rectifier s peak output voltage are same as input peak output voltage but it waste many voltages.
