This way the switch and light bulb is gfci protected. To properly wire gfci or ground fault circuit interrupter receptacles turn off the power to the circuit you re working on and unscrew the cover plate on the outlet box. Connect the bare ground wire to the green ground screw.
Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker panel.
